Since 1964, The Kidney Foundation has helped patients, caregivers and family affected by kidney disease. They are a leading investor in kidney research and strive to improve the lives of those living with kidney disease through education, program and health policy changes.
The Kidney Foundation operates two recycling programs: Kidney Car and Kidney Clothes. These programs are an ingenious way to recycle unwanted cars and clothing and turn them into funds to support the organization’s programs and services. Donating an unwanted car is fast and easy, and donors will receive a tax receipt. We all have unwanted clothing – why not consider donating them to Kidney Clothes?
In the past, The Kidney Foundation has used billboard and transit advertising. However, they understood the benefit of transport truck advertising and liked the idea of using a giant, moving canvas to promote their organization in Ontario and Quebec, to generate greater awareness of their programs. Their goal is to be seen as the leading choice for car and clothing donations.
In 2016, Big Rig Wraps consulted with The Kidney Foundation to determine the best routes to reach prospective car and clothing donors. As a result, the first 53 ft transport truck was launched to promote Kidney Car with a route covering Greater Toronto, southwestern and eastern Ontario, and Quebec.
A second 53 ft transport truck was launched in 2017, promoting Kidney Clothes with a route covering Peterborough, Toronto, Kitchener and London.
Last fall, The Kidney Foundation decided they needed exposure in a smaller geographic area. We were already working on a special project with a local organization who had booked a city delivery truck with a daily route in Durham Region only. It was a perfect fit for The Kidney Foundation so they took a full side of that truck.
