We are a big supporter of YWCA Durham and the important work they do for women and children in Durham Region Ontario. They provide emergency shelter, rent geared to income housing, counselling, employment and life skills programs that prepare women for successful transition into the community.
We felt that such an important organization deserved to have more awareness in the community. As such we donated a special city delivery truck with a daily route in Durham Region and Scarborough.
We invited two local businesses to advertise on the truck which helped to make the entire project possible. We can’t thank Jacquelynn Tanner (Sutton Group Heritage Realty) and D & A Limo for supporting YWCA Durham and for helping to make this truck possible.
We also held an online auction for a logo spot on the rear door with 100% of the proceeds being donated back to the YWCA shelter. Andrea Leibrook of Weighted-For-You was the lucky winner of the logo space.

On August 15th 2018 we hosted the YWCA Truck Unveiling Event with over 40 supporters in attendance. Oshawa Mayor John Henry, Whitby Mayor Don Mitchell, Regional Councillor John Aker, Regional Councillor Candidates Teresa Aker and Dan Carter. We were pleased to have the YWCA Durham’s Co-Executive Director Susanne Groen and Communications Manager Debra Mattson at the event.
